Bio-G-Active is a sophisticated antimicrobial agent for improvement of shelf life and sensory quality of whole carcasses and carcass parts. It provides highly-effective disinfection properties, as well as inhibition of re-contamination and growth, of all germs, which are significant for meat safety, shelf-life and sensory quality. This innovative agent is applied by surface treatment with Bio-G-Active solution (spraying, dipping).
The effectiveness of Bio-G-Active has been proven in many scientific laboratory studies and industrial line trials in different countries and continents. Thus, its superior antimicrobial properties could be verified under all practically relevant industrial production conditions. For example, a significant increase in shelf life of freshly-slaughtered poultry carcasses was achieved by a reduction in the bacterial count by several multiples of ten. This especially holds for the major pathogens, which are relevant for meat and meat-product safety (Salmonella ssp., E.coli, Listeria ssp. etc.) Additionally, the overall sensory quality expected by the consumer could be achieved.
